A business executive and socialite, Aisha Achimugu, has appeared before Justice Iyang Ekwo of the Federal High Court in Abuja.
Justice Ekwo had ordered Achimugu to appear to answer questions regarding an ongoing investigation.
She is being investigated by the EFCC in an alleged case of criminal conspiracy and money laundering.
Achimugu had initially honoured the EFCC’s investigation on 12th February 2024, in which she made a written statement and was granted administrative bail.
However, she allegedly failed to report back to the EFCC but filed a fundamental right enforcement suit against the commission.
The EFCC on 29th April arrested Achimugu at the airport on her way back from London.
At the resumed sitting Justice Inyang Eko asked counsel in the matter from both parties see him in chambers.
