Akwa Ibom State is set to strengthen its development plans through a new partnership with the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP).
Governor Umo Eno made this known while hosting a UNDP delegation at Government House, Uyo. Leading the team was Ms. Elsie Attafuah, UNDP’s Resident Representative for Nigeria.
The Governor reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to the ARISE Agenda and expressed readiness to collaborate with UNDP across key sectors—agriculture, tourism, rural development, women and youth empowerment, and more.
Th Governor directed his Executive Assistant and Chief Delivery Advisor, Mr. Aniefiok Johnson, to work closely with the UNDP team in mapping out specific areas for collaboration.
Ms. Attafuah, on her part said her visit was aimed at exploring ways to support full implementation of the ARISE AGENDA.
With this partnership, Akwa Ibom is looking to accelerate progress across multiple sectors, ensuring sustainable growth.
