The National secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Senator Samuel Anyanwu has asked all party faithful and the public to disregard a letter purportedly signed by one Ude Okoye calling for a National executive committee meeting of the party.
In a statement signed by Anyanwu on Sunday, Okoye lacks the authority to issue such notice pending the outcome of the apex court on the secretary position of the party.
According to Anyanwu, Ude Okoye is not the national secretary of the PDP and was never in any NWC meeting where he was mandated to issue such notice.
The PDP National Secretary also reminded Okoye that he is still under a restraining order of court to stop parading himself as the national secretary of the peoples democratic party pending the determination of the appeal lying before the supreme Court.
