The Presidential Campaign organisation of the All Progressives Congress, has called for an investigation into alleged criminal hacking by the People’s Democratic party, into the server of the Independent National Electoral Commission.
The APC Campaign Spokesperson, Festus Keyamo accuses the PDP of gaining access to some sensitive documents, which it says could have been done only through hacking and conspiracies from officials of the commission.
He alleges that some members of the PDP smuggled fake results into INEC’s server.
The APC is now calling on the Inspector General of Police and Director General of the Department of State Services to conduct a thorough investigation.
The APC says that an Electoral Bill containing the provision for electronic transmission of results to INEC’s central computer system, was sent to President Muhammadu Buhari by the National Assembly for assent late in 2018.
