The Department of State Services, DSS, has released online publisher and the convener of #RevolutionNow protest, Omoyele Sowore, from detention.
A federal High Court earlier today directed the agency to release Mr Sowore within 24 hours.
The court ruled that the DSS has no justifiable reason to continue to hold them.
The matter has been adjourned till Friday because the prosecutor failed to comply with a November 6 order, to serve some documents on the defence team led by Femi Falana.
The judge also awarded N100,000 against the prosecution to be paid to the defendants for foisting what he called“frivolous adjournment” on the court.
Despite the court order for Mister Sowore’s release, operatives of the DSS returned him and his co-defendant to custody.
