Image result for Makers of Indomie Noodles deny ownership of seized truckThe makers of indomie noodles have denied ownership of the company-branded truck that was impounded by the Seme customs command for carrying 1,500 wraps of cannabis sativa.

The company’s public relations manager told TVC News that no truck in its fleet is missing.

TVC News Correspondent, Ifunanya Eze reports that the Seme Border Area Command of the Nigeria Customs Service showcased its recent seizures, among which were sacks of Cannabis Sativa that were smuggled in a Mitsubishi Canter Indomie branded truck.

The area comptroller of the command revealed that the bus was intercepted along the Mowo/Ibeji axis of Seme border conveying 1,582 wraps of Cannabis Sativa valued at more than 30 million naira.

TVC News caught up with the company’s image maker to get further clarification on the matter, where the company vehemently denied any knowledge of the truck. But the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency says it will investigate to unravel the supply source.

Smuggling has continued unabated in Nigeria, inspite of constant seizures by the customs.
