Former service chiefs, service chiefs, and heads of security, intelligence and allied agencies in Nigeria are meeting at the Defence Headquarters.
The meeting convened by the Chief of Defence Staff General Christopher Musa is meant to enhance jointness across all theaters of security operations, in the wake of a spike in attacks in the northeast of the country.
The meeting will be examining the security situation in the Sahel and how it impacts internal Security in the Country.
The Chief Of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, in his opening address at the meeting said “The security landscape present new challenges including the more armed group and use of drones in their operations require collaborative effort to counter”.
He added that “The challenges confronting the country is a Nigerian challenge”.
