The Federal government has approved the production of vaccines in commercial quantity to support routine immunization programs in the country.

This was one of the decisions reached in this week’s federal executive council meeting chaired by President Muhammadu Buhari at the council chambers of the Presidential villa in Abuja.

This week’s Federal executive council meeting approved memos from the Ministry of works and housing, petroleum, the FCT, and the ministry of health.

For the ministry of health, approval was given for the commercial production of immunization vaccines.

The minister of health says the federal government has entered into partnership with the largest vaccine producer in the world to set up vaccine production plants in Nigeria.

The federal Ministry of works and housing brought a request to the federal executive council to order buyers of two under priced public properties in Lagos to pay the differentials of the real value of the property.

The federal government also approved more than two billion naira for the construction of internal roads and drainages in the Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board gas hub located at Paloco in Bayelsa State.

The federal executive council also approved twenty eight billion naira as the revised estimated total cost of the contract for the provision of engineering infrastructure to Wasa Affordable Housing District in the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja
