The Internally Displaced Persons Camp in Monguno, Borno state, has been razed down by fire.
The fire started at about 11:30am on Thursday and gutted the entire camp settlement, which provided shelter to hundreds of persons displaced by Boko Haram insurgency.
According to report, many young children were burnt in the inferno. The cause of the inferno is yet to be identified.
The Monguno IDP camp houses many internally displaced persons from several communities around the Lake Chad Basin.
