Nigeria’s First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Initiative has presented 10,000 professional kits to Midwives, North East Zone, in Jalingo, Taraba State.
Speaking during the presentation, Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, Prof. Ali Pate highlighted the administration’s efforts to improve primary healthcare delivery across the country.
He noted that the First Lady, Oluremi Tinubu, through her initiative, has shown unprecedented dedication to maternal and child health, tuberculosis response, and cervical cancer prevention.

Prof. Pate praised the First Lady’s personal donation of nearly 2 billion naira in recent months to support various health interventions.
He emphasised that over 8,500 health workers have been trained in the North East region alone, with more than 1,300 of them from Taraba State.
Additionally, over 1,000 health facilities now receive quarterly disbursements from the Basic Healthcare Provision Fund, with 170 of those in Taraba state.
