Governor Nasir Idris has commended the harmonious coexistence between the Yoruba community and the people of Kebbi State, pledging continued support for all resident communities in the state.
The governor made this statement during a solidarity visit by the leaders of Yoruba communities residing in Kebbi, held at the Government House.
In recognition of their contributions and support for his administration, Governor Idris announced the appointment of 4 additional Yoruba representatives as Special Advisers making a total of 6 and promised to complete the construction of their community meeting hall in Birnin Kebbi.
The Serikin Yoruba of Kebbi State acknowledged the governor’s inclusive leadership, describing him as a non-tribalistic leader, which has fostered peace and unity within the state.
In a separate event, hundreds of residents in the Zuru emirate , declared support for governor Nasir Idris because of the developmental projects he is executing in the emirate including the Koko-Mahuta road which will bring economic growth to the region.
