Kebbi State Governor, Nasir Idris has directed security forces to apprehend anyone involved in the sale or purchase of agricultural products supplied free to farmers.
This decision was made during an event in Bagudo to mark the beginning of the delivery of these critical supplies, which was facilitated by Muhammad Bello Ka’oje, a House of Representatives Member.

Governor Nasir Idris urged beneficiaries to utilize the free farming implements to enhance crop yields, particularly in irrigation efforts.
He emphasised that these implements should not be sold for profit, as they are vital resources needed to boost agricultural productivity in Nigeria.
In a follow-up speech, Member Ka’oje announced that 9,400 individuals from Bagudo and Suru Local Government Areas had been empowered with tools for agricultural production and entrepreneurship.
Additionally, Ka’oje mentioned that 50 motorcycles and 150 sewing machines had been allocated to enhance self-sufficiency among the beneficiaries.
Aliyu Sambo Zagga, Chairman of Bagudo Local Government Council, expressed gratitude to Governor Idris for establishing the Lolo Dry Port.
This project aims to boost trade and economic growth in the region. He acknowledged the fair compensation given to landowners affected by the project, praising the administration for its commitment.
Beneficiaries expressed their joy, happy to have received the items and empowerment.
