The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has expressed deep sympathy to its members and residents of Ifon-Osun, Erin-Osun, and Ilobu communities over the recurring communal conflict in that part of Osun State.
The society acknowledged the distress and hardship caused by the unrest and called for an immediate end to hostilities.
In a heartfelt appeal, NASFAT President, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, consoled the affected people, expressing his concern for their well-being. He emphasized the devastating consequences of war and urged all parties involved to prioritize peace. “We are pleading with our people and all stakeholders to give peace a chance because the aftermath of war is always disastrous,” he stated.
Similarly, NASFAT’s Chief Missioner, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, encouraged steadfastness in prayer while calling for reconciliation. He urged the warring factions to embrace peaceful dialogue, reminding them that Islam and NASFAT are known for peace. He reassured members that Allah’s protection is always near, saying, “We must be cognizant that war is not bread and tea; it only brings suffering.”
As a precautionary measure, NASFAT has directed the leadership of the affected zone to temporarily suspend all Asalaatu programs in the area until peace is fully restored. The society stressed that safety and stability remain paramount.
The organization further appealed to all well-meaning individuals to spread this message of peace and encourage conflict resolution. It expressed optimism that calm would soon return through concerted efforts and divine intervention.
NASFAT concluded its statement with prayers for Allah’s guidance, urging all parties to soften their hearts and embrace unity. “May Allah (SWT) soothe the victims, touch the hearts of those involved, and restore lasting peace,” it prayed.
