Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency have arrested a Lekki-based businessman in connection with the shipment of 60 parcels of Loud, a strong strain of cannabis, from the United States of America to Nigeria.
The NDLEA also stopped another businessman from exporting 1,400 pills of tramadol to Italy.
The 43-year-old businessman and proprietor of Damillionz Takeout was arrested at a Lounge on Admiralty Way in the Lekki area of Lagos.
His arrest followed the seizure of his cargo that arrived Nigeria in seven big cartons at a logistics company in Lagos by NDLEA operatives.
After a search of his Lekki home, the total weight of drugs seized from the suspect was 32.24 kilograms.
NDLEA officers at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos have also foiled an attempt by another businessman to export 1,400 pills of tramadol 225mg weighing 800 grams to Italy.

The suspect was intercepted at the screening point of terminal 2 of the Lagos airport on his way to Italy via a Qatar Airways flight.
Investigation revealed the suspect is an Italy based frequent traveler and logistics agent.
In Katsina state, four suspects were arrested last Friday during an intelligence-led raid operation at Godai village in Daura Local Government.
Operatives recovered 684 blocks of compressed skunk, a strain of cannabis weighing 423kg and 86,000 pills of diazepam from the suspects.
The three male suspects were arrested while repackaging the diazepam tablets into other containers while the female suspect was apprehended with the heaps of skunk in her house.
Meanwhile, NDLEA operatives have destroyed more than 13,198 kilograms of cannabis sativa in Edo forests and in raids across parts of the state.
Chairman of NDLEA Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (Rtd) has commended operatives on their operational successes especially their balanced approach to drug supply and demand reduction.
