Two distress Nigerian airlines, Arik Air and Aero Contractors, may soon have private equity investments in their operations.
The two airlines have already been taken over by Asset Management Corporation of Nigeria.
Minister of Finance, Kemi Adeosun,who revealed in Washington D.C, that the investors had held discussions with some members of the government’s delegation to the International Monetary Fund /World Bank Spring Meetings.
AMCON took over both airlines following their huge indebtedness to the corporation and other local and foreign creditors.
