The Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN) in the 19 Northern States and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) has extended warm felicitations to Muslims across Nigeria and the world on the successful completion of Ramadan and the celebration of Eid-el-Fitr.
In a statement, the Chairman, Joseph Hayab, described the spiritual exercise as significant and rewarding for all faithful who adhere to the teachings of their holy books.
However, the celebratory message was tempered by a strong condemnation of the recent killings in Uromi, Edo State, where 16 travelers were brutally murdered.
CAN expressed deep sorrow over the incident, calling it a stain on humanity and demanding justice.
The association also stressed the need for a stronger justice system to ensure swift punishment for criminals, emphasizing that this is the only way to break the cycle of violence and achieve lasting peace in the nation
