A former chairman of the Teachers’ Union in Jigawa State, Comrade Usman Ya’u Galamawa, has led a group of defectors from the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress in Jigawa State.
Governor Umar Namadi received the defectors at the Government House in Dutse.
Among them are Malam Mamuda Auyakawa, Malam Ali Dankofa Limawa, Sabo Muhammed Eka Fagoji, Aminu Garu, Malam Wada Galamawa, and Malam Mai Kano Limawa.
The defection was endorsed by key political figures, including Hon. Tasiu Ishaq Soja, a member of the State House of Assembly, and Professor Isah Yusuf Chamo, Commissioner for Higher Education.
Others present were Dr. Sibu Abdullahi Chairman of Dutse Local Government Council, and Comrade Ibrahim Ahmed Kwaimawa.
