The Adamawa State Police Command has apprehended a 22-year-old man, Luka James, for allegedly abducting and raping a 15-year-old girl in Michika Local Government Area.
According to reports, the victim was attacked on January 31, 2025, while on her way to school.
James, a resident of Gwalantabal Village in Song Local Government Area, allegedly conspired with an accomplice, Emmanuel, who is still at large, to abduct the girl into a nearby bush, where she was brutally raped.
The victim was found unconscious at the scene and was rushed to the hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.
The police arrested James following a report by Yohanna Begie, a resident of Nkafa Village.
This arrest is part of the ongoing efforts to combat gender-based violence in Adamawa State.
The police are urging anyone with information about Emmanuel’s whereabouts to come forward and assist in the investigation.
