The Police in Ondo State say they will flush out the killers of the people in Sunday Camp, a boundary community between Edo and Ondo States.
This comes as a survivor of the attack narrated how he and his brother escaped the well-coordinated assault by armed herdsmen.
The Ondo State Commissioner of Police, Wilfred Afolabi, led a team of officers to the scene of the attack, which occurred in a boundary community between Ondo and Edo states.
The attack, carried out on Saturday, left many dead and several others injured.
The police team had to pass through Edo State to reach the affected community.
Due to the poor condition of the road, which is inaccessible to vehicles except by motorcycle, the team met with some community leaders along the route.
The Commissioner of Police described the situation as complex, stressing that the location of the attack was not the primary concern.
The team later visited a private hospital in the Okada area, where one of the survivors is receiving treatment.
He managed to escape from the community despite sustaining a gunshot wound.
