The Sokoto state Police Command has deployed over one thousand conventional and plain cloth officers within the state, ahead of the hearing by the supreme court.
The hearing on the Appeal brought before it by the Gubernatorial Candidate of the All Progressives Congress in the 2019 Governorship and rerun elections, Ahmed Aliyu.
The State Commissioner of Police, Ibrahim Kaoje made this known in a press statement .
Mr. Ka’oje said particular attention was being focused on the Sokoto metropolis and its environs, as well as on some strategic locations within their vicinity.

The Commissioner of Police also said the strategy will be maintained until further notice.
