The Supreme Court has upheld the election of Ben Ayade as the duly elected governor of Cross Rivers State.
Joe Agi, also of the Peoples Democratic Party, and an aspirant in the election that produced Ayade as governor, had gone to the apex court to ask for a nullification of the poll for alleged false declaration of age.
But in a unanimous judgement today, a five-member panel of justices led by Justice Binta Ogunbiyi dismissed the application for lacking in merit.
