All the seven suspects arraigned for the alleged murder of Mojisola Awesu, a student of the Kwara State College of Health Technology, Offa, Kwara state have pleaded not guilty to the 6-count charge.
Miss Mojisola Awesu was allegedly lured to Ilorin, by one Happiness Adebayo and Timileyin Kolawole and later murdered before her corpse was dumped at a dump site in Ilorin.
Happiness Adebayo, his parents – Adebayo Adeniyi and Bukola Adeniyi as well as Timileyin Kolawole are the defendants in the case.
Others are Adeoye Adeola, Lawal Aminat and Peter Bulus who were accused of conspiring and dumping the the corpse of Mojisola Awesu at a dump site along Wara road, Ilorin.
All the seven accused persons pleaded not guilty.
An attempt by the Kwara state Director Public Prosecution, Ayoola Akande, to proceed with the trial was countered my most of the defense lawyers who argued that they were just in court for the pleas of the defendants.
In his ruling, Justice Ibrahim Yusuf adjourned the case to the 12th of March for proper hearing.
