Troops of 1 Brigade, Sector 2 Operation Fansan Yamma has apprehended a 25-year-old ammunition courier, Shamsiyya Ahadu, who was found in possession of 764 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition and 6 magazines meant for delivery to Bandit kingpin Bello Turji’s in his camp.
She was arrested on Saturday December, 2024 alongside her accomplice, a motorcycle rider named Ahmed Husaini in Badarawa area of Shinkafi Local Government Area of Zamfara State

Operation Fansan Yamma Lieutenant Colonel Abubakar Abdullahi
The statement adds the arrest followed an intelligence report of their movement along the road from Kware to Badarawa in same Shinkafi Local Council
In response to the development, troops of Operation Fansan Yamma prompty established a roadblock which led to the arrest of the suspects
Both suspects according to authorities are currently undergoing interrogation to help the troops in arresting others
Operation Fansan Yamma again insist it remains dedicated to dismantling all terrorist networks as well as prevent illegal movement of arms and ammunition within its Theatre of Operation.
It also appeal to Members of the public not to relent in their efforts at providing credible information that would lead to the arrest of wanted terrorists and their collaborators.
Additionally, the Theatre wishes to appreciate the sustained local support it is enjoying from residence of the affected area towards the fulfilment of Operation Fansan Yamma Mandate.
